How to Find the Magic Even if it Feels Hard or Scary

There’s a question you can ask to help your manifesting stay on track even during difficult moments that don’t feel aligned or like what you were hoping to manifest.

That question is: “What is the magic here?”

The other day my Golden Retriever got terribly sick and was having trouble getting better. (He sometimes eats rather horrifying things that he somehow locates outside.) We had to make an emergency run to the vet twice to help him heal.

The second time, I was sitting in the room, waiting for the vet, and I really didn’t want this situation to be happening. I was worried, tired, and just wanted him to be all better.

However, I’ve learned that even the most un-fun, not-good circumstances often hold hidden magic.

That question, “What is the magic here?” is always running in my mind in the background.

I’m on the lookout for magic all the time, every day, in every situation.

While I was sitting in the room at the vet, waiting for them to run tests on my fur baby, a different vet came into the room to talk to me about what to feed my doggo while sick. Now, here’s where it gets interesting!

Just a couple of days before, I’d mentioned to the universe that I wanted to find the right vet to talk to about dog food because recently I’ve decided to home-cook all the food for my dogs.

I wasn’t sure who the right vet was in my area, and I started an online search without much luck.

So, get this! The vet who randomly came in to talk to me was NOT the vet assigned to my dog. It was totally random and bizarre that he showed up. He also knew exactly what I was talking about when it comes to feeding dogs home-cooked food with the right nutrients, and he even had a website with more details for me.

I ended up getting everything I needed to move forward out of that simple five-minute conversation, including where to go next for more help if need be.

This was the magic here.

Even in the midst of a lot of distress, manifesting was happening. A request to the universe was being fulfilled.

It’s easy to let our minds tell us that something is awful. And, often, it is awful.

But, it can also come with a serving of magic.

Opening our minds to what the magic is can not only help in the moment (I left the vet’s office feeling quite uplifted despite the circumstances), but it helps us continue to manifest more and more and more of what we truly want. It keeps us in the magic manifesting vibe.

Looking around at what IS manifesting will often blow your mind. That offhand thing you wanted last week might be coming true right now. It’s just a matter of noticing.

The more you notice, the more you manifest. It’s a freaking awesome feedback loop!

Remember that in manifesting, contrast (the opposite of what we want) is actually a good thing. It brings clarity. It shows us what we do want. And, it often brings us more magic than we could have imagined.

It’s not dangerous to ask “What is the magic here?” even if this moment sucks. You aren’t negating how you feel. You can still feel mad, sad, or scared.

It just cracks the door for you to open up to the magic that’s flowing in even as you’re experiencing contrast. Nothing turns contrast around faster than that!

Your body can help you locate the magic. Sit still for just a moment, breathing, and notice the sensation of your body resting on the chair. Then ask the question, “What is the magic here?”

That short moment of presence in your body will help you open up to what is happening for you right now, even in the midst of a lot of crap.

Connecting to the magic, finding it, and creating more of it is part of what we do in my group coaching program! You can learn more about this program and others here.
